In time it'll come on back; the smile, the quiet reminder, In line with those miracles woven in around. Outside, the simple silence waiting for someone to listen, But you cannot hear it with your ears against the clouds. And no bottle or forced illusion, Will dissipate them like the sun, Into the breeze I'll leave my meaning, Within your eyes I'll be undone. Cause' I'm just trying to get by happy, I'm just trying to get by happy. Written out on the painted sky, the river, the days through my real eyes, Oh sew me into the fabric of them all. Wholeness I think is not so hidden as you'd have imagined, At least just a brief bit, but I'll take what I can. And maybe when I'm done with breathing, I'll be a warm day in the sun, Into the breeze I'll leave my answer, Within the eyes I'll be undone. Cause I'm just trying to get by happy, I'm just trying to get by happy. And there's something I do not yet know, But I have felt it every second in the shaking of my bones from the start. I'm just trying to get by happy

Dawn on the blossoms, I am always new, I am always changing, And dying all too soon. Bloodshot on the porch step, Sulfur on the breeze, Early glimpse of heaven, oh it's good enough for me. We could break it if you want, Oh the separation of the dusk and the dawn. (x2) Fine without a meaning, Fine without a name, Just a holy candle, Caught up in a flame. Burn out in a melody, Echo through the grain, Leave it with a spark till I come around again, We could break it if you want, Oh the separation of the dusk and the dawn. (x2) Ask the mountain, I'll be gone tomorrow. Ask the lighting, I will never die. Hung up in between it like a poem. Fine with on the dirt or in the light. Dawn on the blossoms, I am always new, I am always changing.

Birds 05:42
I've been sleeping lately, sleeping in too late. And I've been thinking lately, thinking away my days into nights, Oh my empty tire. I am stuck in a rut, I fill the days with empty thoughts, the hours are not long enough. Airing out my dusty house. Well if I'm always learning, how come I can't change, I keep moving forward see my door is moving away. I am stuck, oh I am stuck. (vocal round) I am stuck. (Interlude) Wind on the side of the house, blows past the closed windows. And it rolls over the hills, As far away as you've been, Carrying with it everything, And it goes on and on and on. Wind from town to town moves through the turning around. And it rustles colored leaves, And it brings and sends the snow, Moves warm across the grass as the sun begins to last. And it picks up every song, Every whistle, every hum, Takes them out from the air to another set of lungs, And it goes on and on and on.

Castaway 03:17
There's nothing I need more, Cast away the excuses that I make. There's nothing I live for, Shaken down, the boards no longer creak. There's good times coming through; given free. When it's said and done it's all I need. There's nothing left to do, Better times I promise are coming soon. You tied the ribbon tight babe, I'll pull it loose. Not hanging round this town no more, Cut down your hangman's noose.

All I Am 03:25
Turn every painting to me my friend, Again, and again, and again, I am shown an image of my hands reaching out for some blurry symbol. Again, and again, and again, Something escapes me, it's just beyond the fence. I can see it, but I can't say. I am all I am, All I am isn't always around. Feel free to find me. Taking the back roads back my friend, But it's been said again and again. Tried my best, but I couldn't write my life into songs Said the pen to my empty head. Again, and again, and again, Something illusive pats me on the back, Reminds me who I am. I am all I am, All I am isn't always around. Feel free to find me. Got enough thoughts to fill the ocean, But I can't find one that works, So I'll take you as far as I can, Yeah I'll take you as far as I can.

The Lights 04:55
It's Sunday morning and the rains have stopped, But I still can't seem to find my way. There's a blue-green light in the distance babe, Crawling and humming it's way across the sky. It's been a long road all the way to where I've come, But I'll continue to move slowly, Just as long as you are sure to come along with me, as I set out to find the new world. But what I've found is that at night there are linens lining the sky, Maybe with a few moth holes. Maybe they're just holes in heavens floor, being so worn and so old. And in the morning time someone reaches down here from above, With their fingers all dipped in gold. And as they comb across the land as if to say don't worry here I am, If you yearn for home. But the clouds offer shelter from the danger up above, The sun, the moon, the stars, and the sky reminders from that above. Of the life that we share, Of the love that we should share, Of the lights that we share, Of the love that we should share. Like the fire burning in the yard with it's dying embers, It weeps smoke for last night, as I lay here burning slowly. Where is the smoke, oh I hear the sound, there's a humming from the star line. It's Sunday morning and the rains have stopped, But I'll still see that blue-green light. And what I've found is that at night there are linens lining the sky, Maybe with a few moth holes. Maybe they're just holes in heavens floor, being so worn and so old. And in the morning time someone reaches down here from above, With their fingers all dipped in gold. And as they comb across the land as if to say don't worry here I am, If you yearn for home.

I don't care what you say, I'll leave it all here, I don't care what you do, I'll leave it all there, I wish I could say, that I'm ready to die, So I thank you for my name, and I thank you for your time. I forgot who I am so tell me again (x4). Please make me the brunt of all that you hate, About saying things, and doings things, and caring looking back at me. Cause' I can't stand no I won't stand, no. I forgot who I am, you can't tell me who I am (x4) I forgot who I am, so tell me again.

Walk me back to what I know, The old notes come and go, Dig up every memory, Cradled in the roots I'll fall asleep. Oh all I need, oh all I need Over me. It's something out of focus maybe, For the first time I feel as free, As the ground beneath my two feet, Pave it through, but I will keep it clearly. Oh all I need, oh all I need, Over me. Don't wake me up.
